Ok I'm really bad at coming up with snazzy titles. The harder I try, the cornier i sound.

V-day was memorable.
Not trying to brag or what, but I went to the
MTV ASIA AWARDS 2004!!!

Woah. I'm still rather dazed, even up till now.
Never would have expected to get the tickets.
But I tell ya, it was through hard work.
Which made it memorable, cos we truly understand the pains to obtain the tickets when we don't have any strings to pull.

We, namely me, chin and man, won the tics through the P10 last min give-away.
Wasn't easy considering there were hundreds of people that were as desperate as us. Plus the scorching sun, bad-mouthed security guards(Oh man, i wished i had lashed out at that idiot guard. Freak You!) and the antics we had to pull to catch the DJs' attention.

But all was not in vain when Man's wristband garnered the coveted tics for us. (Actually Chin already gotten her tic earlier. We had to play some games or whatnot)
We were a trio of screaming banshees for several mins.
We had waited 3 hrs for the give away to begin.(well actually that's cos we were kiasu and that's how i got my sun burn) and another 2 hrs to queue to get in the stadium.

Everything was like a dream after that.
I simply couldn't believe Mariah Carey came. Didn't notice her until everyone started screaming.
And the cupid fellows were so cute. Esp the short fat one.><
There was this horrifying tall guy(i wanted to smack his head) in front of me, and since i simply couldn't worm my way outta tat space, i was virtually on tip toes(exclding jumping) the whole night(rewarding me with sore toes, neck, shoulders and arms esp with my vigorous waving of that white inflated 'stick')
In spite of all the physical torture, neverthelss was still rocked by the performances of Simple Plan, Black eyed peas esp. The number by 'Bird' Thongchai Mcintyre was worth a mention too.
Being Live is simply great. Atmosphere is superb, though the bass was so loud i couldn't really hear what the hosts and award presenters was saying.
Oh yeah and the first top that Michelle Branch wore was really HOT! Gareth Gates didn't look that zombie-like live(sorry kar. don't hit me! ><) I'm definitely going for a live rock concert esp if Linkin Park graces our shores.
And I grabbed a cap, just for remembrance sake.
Actually a shirt would be better but i was out of cash. (only had a pathetic 6 buckaroos)

Since they didn't allow water in the stadium, we were dehyrated when we were let out at ard 1030.
Ate desserts at a place near my house. Then decided we were hungry, so proceeded to the 24 hr muslim store to grab prata and teh tarik. The mood was simply so great we chatted, unconciously, to 1:15am.
Since there's no bus back, they went to seek refuge at my hse, again. (my hse has been the unofficial 'hotel', since grad i think)
We actually spent the whole night fixing a jigsaw puzzle of the map of hawaii. >< call that nuts or wat.

To be truly honest, i'm still sad that i've missed out on Jay's performance last yr. But i couldn't get the tics.
I'm not gonna give myself anymore regrets.
So who wants to go to the awards next yr, tell me! Cos i'm definitely gonna go, whatever it takes.

-An overview-

Hey ho.

It's been another long month since I updated. Well I never keep my promises, but only in the case of the journal. I'm a Woman of my words, yeah.

Nothing much to write about anyway because life is rather tiresome now.
Oh I forgot to address my grievances when I got the sack about 2 weeks ago. To think I can actually FORGET about that! *smacks head*

Well, as everyone would probably have heard of it till now.(maybe except those that I haven't seen or heard from for more than a month)
Haha I was totally cool about the whole thing, to the point that everyone thought I was joking. Well it is indeed a very sudden incident, which also shocked me(I admit) initially when I heard it.

I dunno if I could say it's entirely the company's fault, and none of my own. I'm guilty of not being totally responsible too, though they could deal with the situation with more tact and thought for my feelings.
To cut a long story short, I forgot to call the office to inform them of my absence cos I overslept(which I have a responsibilty not to). This can be considered a 2nd time cos the first time I was sick but I couldn't call them as I was a newbie in that dept and didn't have the numbers.
So obviously they regarded it as a 2nd time.
And they should have given me a few days' notice... at least some mental preparation.

But heck man. I don't care for a bunch of back-stabbing, snobbish aunties. I hate that place anyway. Maybe this may leave me with a prejudice for DBS bank. I'm already having second thoughts about applying for a debit card.

After regaining back my freedom, I've been busy with revamping my room for about a week. (maybe u guys may think I'm nuts) but I've gone to IKEA for about 3 times that week. Even went to the extent of buying apple green paint for the room... but laziness triumphed and I was back to lazing around.

Now my new found interest--- Play Station I!!!
And my partner in crime is Chin Swee. I'm playing Final Fantasy 8 and her, Final Fantasy 9.

And I've started work on this market research company, and when put in less polished words, means doing surveys. It's hard work... or maybe I'm just plain unlucky cos the area I'm assigned on the first project is hellish. The half-vacanted block and cold-blooded people makes me doubt the credibilty of the term "beginner's luck". Maybe I'm just the only exception. >< But it's good excercise... having accumulated all the fats at the bum by sitting all day at some 9 to 5 job.

Valentine's day is coming... and tis the 19th year I'm gonna be spending it without a Valentine. Well, not that I care, but sometimes I do feel something when I see lovers around me while I'm alone. Makes u feel rather lonely.

OK and now the couple of the moment, for me, is

SQUALL & RINOA from FF8.
To have a withdrawn and loner guy like Squall being able to open the doors of his heart and express his emotions is a miracle. And to make someone like him LOVE another person is just impossible. And Rinoa, who's just the exact opposite, being lively, carefree and straightforward, was the one that achieve the impossible. Love itself is a miracle too. They went through many tough obstacles. (I can't say what cos it'll be MAJOR spoiler) I like the kind of love they share. And it was not love at first sight, definitely. I kinda don't like Love At First Sight, maybe cos I don't entirely believe in it.
(Though I've yet to finish the game and see their love develop... I've cheated and read some of the story online so I kinda know =P)

The words "I'll be waiting for you" actually means something significant. But I shouldn't spoil the game for anyone who might play it in the future.
